Meet the
Milestone
Team
Jay Roff
Jay studied graphic design back in the eighties when it was a rock and roll job. Today, her business card says MD. What it doesn’t mention is all the other hats she wears at Milestone. Like HR, IT and Finance.
In her spare time, art-lover Jay can often be found at one of the Tates, the RA or other favourite galleries. That’s if she’s not getting down to some hard rock, gangsta rap or techno punk.
Ian Sutton
After studying marketing and psychology at Stirling University, Ian explored both creative and account management roles in agencies. But it wasn’t long before he started making plans to form Milestone.
Ian has pioneered Milestone’s development into brand consultancy and has overseen many of Milestone’s corporate rebranding projects. He loves developing close and lasting relationships with his clients. (He even married one!)
Peter Wilkinson
Peter spent his formative years designing award winning packaging and websites for the toy industry. He’s a lover of big toys himself, including fast cars and motorcycles. Almost lost to a New York agency, the offer of creative supremo at Milestone saw him jetting back to manage our creative team.
Very much a hands-on designer he still finds time to play the drums when people let him.
Jennifer Gleadow
A qualified Marketer with nearly 20 years agency and client experience, Jen’s efficient running of operations keeps Milestone on track. Her passion for learning and development inspires the team to bring their very best abilities to the barn.
Outside of work, Jen continues her studies, recently completing a Sociology MA to underpin her drive for inclusivity within Marketing. Having added a wine course to her list, she’s hoping that a Masters in Stationery will be announced soon.
Howard Angus
A marketing graduate from Plymouth University, Howard went straight into advertising in the days when smoking and drinking at your desk weren’t just allowed, they were actively encouraged.
Howard has worked as an underwater cameraman, a dive shop manager, a chicken breast stuffer and a costumed pig along with 25 years in more traditional marketing roles in the finance, retail, leisure, IT and tourism sectors.
Richard Vockins
A multi-disciplined Creative Director, Rich has an unhealthy obsession for grids, Swiss Style, Wim Crowel, Alan Fletcher and smelling print!
When he’s not bringing brands to life through crafted, strategic design, Rich can be found disturbing the peace on his 1958 Triumph Twin. He still thinks he can ride a BMX at British Championship level. He can’t.
Lydia Navarro
Born and bred a Londoner, Lydia has now fully embraced village life in Buckinghamshire. Bringing 20 years of digital marketing and ecommerce experience within the retail, luxury, financial services and charity sectors, she delivers campaigns that grow revenue and customer satisfaction.
Outside of work, you’ll find her exploring somewhere new, sharing adventures with her children, or lost in a great book.
Rosanne Chamberlain
Rosanne is an amazing client collaborator, pulling together the best from teams, often from around the world, to deliver everything from social media campaigns to shareholder communications and global websites.
With a background in both professional services marketing and consumer brand management Rosanne brings a breadth and depth of expertise to every project.
Away from work and family commitments Rosanne enjoys travelling and cycling in the countryside on her eBike!
Becca Benjamin
Becca joined Milestone armed with a Business and Marketing degree from UWE Bristol. With nearly 10 years experience both client and agency side, she has managed campaigns and branding projects in the education, finance, automotive, wellness and manufacturing sectors.
Outside the barn, Becca starts the day with yoga and fills her weekends throwing tyres at bootcamp. Or herself out of a plane. Or in the sea.
Alicia Clarke
Originally from Winnipeg Canada, Alicia was a partner in an art gallery before she relocated to the UK. She ran the studio for the Chartered Institute of Marketing before joining Milestone.
She still enjoys drawing and watercolour painting and has sold her work across Canada. Loves travelling, kayaking, yoga and a decent cheese board.
Hoi Man
A Marketing graduate from Lancaster University, Hoi has extensive agency experience across diverse sectors, including automotive, retail, hospitality, and healthcare. Her skill set encompasses the management of large-scale multi-channel campaigns.
Outside work, Hoi loves to plan her worldwide family adventures and explore new places. She is a keen foodie with a particular soft spot for the baked goods of Paris.
Kathryn Cole-Johnson
Kathryn has been a key part of the team since 2011, first as an Account Manager and now as our Studio Manager. With years of experience across digital projects, she brings calm leadership and sharp organisation to everything she does.
Our resident foodie and wine enthusiast, Kathryn also juggles life as a mum of two – a role that’s made her an expert at keeping our creatives in line.
Katie Wood
Katie joined Milestone as our Office Manager and her excellent people and project management skills were a natural fit for a client role. Over the last seven years, she has run multi-channel campaigns across manufacturing, motoring, drinks, finance and public sectors.
Katie has a passion for all creatures great and small and is a keen traveller, notching up some impressive food and wine miles. At weekends you’ll find her dog Pugsy taking Katie out for a walk in the Bucks countryside.
Ruthie Alexander
Since taking her Philosophy Degree to Masters level, Ruthie has written and managed campaigns for clients across the finance, healthcare and tech sectors.
Outside of work, you can find Ruthie at her allotment, where they grow produce for their baked goods and boozy creations. Her Labrador, Harley, is never far from the action.
Ellie Millward
Ellie has experience in online content, having worked on projects for many food brands, creating innovative, influencer-led campaigns. Her creativity is built on her art and photography studies, and remains inspired by the dance music scene where she DJs in her spare time.
We love animals at Milestone and Ellie brings her terrapins – Shelly and Terry Crews – to our growing pet family.
Minella Palich
A born and bred Aussie, Minella is the glue that holds Milestone together. Her background includes a Business degree and over a decade’s experience working with creatives in the film and TV industry. She organised private art events at prestigious venues across London, from the Saatchi Gallery to the Tower of London.
When not keeping Milestone shipshape, Minella spends time paddleboarding the rivers and coastlines of the UK – and Europe when she gets the chance.
Paul Roff
Paul taught himself HTML in 1994 when the phrase “Information Superhighway” was thankfully slipping out of fashion. After a few years as Dell’s Internet Development Manager, and many more freelancing, he (married the MD and) joined Milestone to oversee the technical aspects of our digital projects.
A keen writer, Paul’s books can found in garden centres and National Trust gift shops across the country, and, with the ideal amount of alcohol, can juggle fire.
Harry Sutton
Harry joined us straight from Bournemouth University, with a BSc in Computing under his belt. An intern for the first year, he’s joined our digital team, coding our many website projects.
Interested in art as much as science, Harry plays guitar and bass guitar as well as working on his own programming projects.
Martin Watts
Martin is our resident expert on all things digital. He is a campaign specialist with over twelve years of experience in digital marketing strategy, behavioural targeting, planning and buying.
With a home collection of animals that includes seven cats, two rabbits, fish and a dog, Martin is considering charging house guests for admission to his personal petting zoo.
Mike Curley
An experienced video editor and animator in addition to his extensive digital design knowledge, Mike graduated with 1st Class BA (Hons) Graphic Design from the Arts University Bournemouth in 2013 and was nominated for the 2013 D&AD Student Awards.
A lover of technology, computing and physics Mike also enjoys climbing from time to time – an activity which he nevertheless remains distinctly average at. Born in Norway, he moved to the UK when he was 2, so no, he doesn’t speak any Norwegian.
Sam Jones
Known for his sartorial elegance, Sam has a real talent for illustration. Inspired by artists such as Oliver Jeffers and Dan Matutina, he is equally at home with icon sets, infographics or character design for engaging animatics.
If you want Oscar tips, ask Sam as he spends his free time avoiding a popcorn overdose at the cinema.
Pamela Donaldson
A graduate of Central St Martins, Pam worked in fashion before finding her rightful place in a design studio.
She presides over our artwork output with a fashion-like eye for detail, scrutinising everything from packaging, point of sale and print to websites and e-marketing campaigns.
Izzy Beech
A Graphic Design graduate from Bournemouth, Izzy brings a fresh take on graphics and animation to the studio. Her creativity isn’t confined to the Mac as jewellery making, baking, painting and pottery all feature on her list of creative pursuits.
When she’s not creating, she’s walking her cocker spaniel Harvey to the local pub for a pint. Izzy prefers a rum and coke.
Richard Selbourne
With three decades of award-winning copywriting under his belt, there aren’t many sectors or campaigns that are new to Richard.
Expert at crafting compelling copy for social media, Richard activates customers on their digital journeys and builds relevant content to improve search performance.
Richard is also a season ticket holder at Swindon Town which explains his gloomy demeanour from August to May.
