Intertek is a leading global quality assurance group with a history that goes back over 130 years to Thomas Edison and the invention of the lightbulb. Today, Intertek has over 44,000 employees and 1,000 labs in over 100 countries.

This FTSE 100 organisation provides ATIC services (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) for businesses and brands in every sector – from fashion, to fuel, to pharmaceuticals.

Milestone’s relationship with Intertek goes back to 2016, when a new leadership team engaged us to help develop a fresh new brand identity and relaunch the business for growth.

Our approach

As Intertek’s lead brand and creative agency, we work on everything from signage and interiors, websites and digital marketing, social media and events to corporate comms and employee engagement. Over that time, we’ve helped to roll out a group rebrand, inspiring the company’s regional divisions to follow the lead.

We’ve also defined a strong identity system that allows Intertek to align mergers, acquisitions and newly created sub-brands easily, including a unique brand font that does the talking in every application.

The strength and distinctiveness of the brand assets we have created, together with our paid social media campaigns, is helping to bridge the gap between B2B and B2C brand awareness.

Day to day, we’re creating and sharing brand stories – from social media, video and animation, to energising corporate events.

The results

Within a year of the brand relaunch Intertek’s share price surged by over 60%. And we consistently support the ongoing growth of the business through both strategic and tactical marketing.

We’ve helped Intertek differentiate itself from competitors, creating a distinctive set of brand assets, tone of voice and social media presence.
